The Social Goat Bed and Breakfast

About us

The Social Goat began with a renovation and then ended with a Bed and Breakfast

Our Inn was originally built in 1900 as a Queen Anne Victorian to accommodate a family with 13 children. Once a working farm and homestead, the house was located on a large piece of property that eventually was sold to make way for suburban building. The property is now 3/4 of an acre and once again has a miniature barnyard and gardens.

When we began The Social Goat, our original residents included two Nigerian dwarf goats, one named "Sherman" who has since passed and "Tallulah" his sister. Tallulah is still here, round as ever and showing her social graces. It also began with 12 little chicks that we ordered through the post office. Once the farm started, we added Turkeys and Ducks and plenty of Koi fish for the pond.

Now we have five goats, 11 ducks, 11 chickens, 1 turkeys, 3 cats and several aquatic pets. All the pets are social on the side of lazy, but would love to have you come and enjoy this little farm in the big city.
